This holidaze season I am fundraising for a nonprofit that is near and dear to my heart, GLMA: Health Professionals Advancing LGBTQ+ Equality. Over the past year I have had the amazing privilege of serving as the GLMA's President and doing so has been the highlight of my professional career to date. Our "small but mighty" organization is dedicated to supporting LGBTQ+ health professionals and advancing the field of LGBTQ+ health for all LGBTQ+ people.
A few major GLMA highlights from 2022 include :
-Holding our 40th Annual Conference on LGBTQ+ Health
-Being selected for the 2022 Clarity Award by the Society for the Psychological Study of Sexual Orientation and Gender Diversity, Division 44 of the American Psychological Association
-Partnering with the Tegan and Sara Foundation to relaunch The LGBTQ+ Healthcare Directory, a free, searchable database of all kinds of doctors, medical professionals and healthcare providers who are knowledgeable and sensitive to the unique health needs of LGBTQ+ people in the USA and Canada.
