Drum Major Uniforms for the Oshkosh North Band

The Oshkosh North Band is raising money to purchase six drum major uniforms for their marching program! These drum major uniforms will match the style of our current marching band uniforms while having their own special features that set the drum majors apart from the rest of the band. The North Band performs a marching field show and participates in community parades and processions throughout the school year. Marching band is an important part of the North Band curriculum. We believe that marching band teaches students invaluable skills in musicianship, collaboration, and leadership. 

In 2023, the North Band was extremely fortunate to receive new, state-of-the-art marching band uniforms for all its students, replacing uniforms previously purchased in 1991. Having new marching uniforms has reinforced a sense of pride among the band students when they are participating in marching activities. We are hoping to purchase six special drum major uniforms that will be worn by future drum majors when they are leading the band. Currently, the North Drum Major wears a regular North Band uniform. 

The proposed drum major uniforms will emulate the style of our new marching band uniforms, and feature white sleeves and bibbers, a full reversible cape featuring the Spartanhead logo, and a white shako hat. 

Each drum major uniform is approximately $700.00, bringing the total amount of our project to approximately $4,200.00. We intend to purchase six uniforms to account for years where we have multiple drum majors, and to accommodate a variety of student sizes over the years.
