In the spirit of Thanksgiving, Give Back Heritage Foundation Inc. invites our community to join us in creating a season of warmth and comfort for those who need it most. Our mission this Thanksgiving is to provide nourishing meals, cozy essentials, and a genuine sense of belonging to Florida’s homeless individuals, underprivileged children, and senior citizens who might otherwise go without.

This holiday season is about gratitude, and our greatest gift is showing those in need that they are not forgotten. With your support, we’ll deliver hot Thanksgiving meals, warm blankets, and essential care packages to lift the spirits of our community’s most vulnerable members.

Target Audience

This campaign is a call to action for everyone with a heart for service—individuals, families, businesses, and community members alike. By coming together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those around us and ensure that everyone experiences the warmth of the season.

How Funds Will Be Utilized

Every dollar raised goes directly towards providing essential items and meals for our Thanksgiving outreach. Here’s how your donations will make a lasting impact:

1. Nutritious Meals

   • Thanksgiving Dinners: Freshly prepared meals featuring classic Thanksgiving favorites, including turkey, mashed potatoes, vegetables, and desserts, will be delivered to homeless shelters, low-income families, and senior centers across Florida. These meals are not just food; they offer warmth, tradition, and a reminder that someone cares.
   • Outreach Logistics: To reach those most in need, funds will support logistics, such as transportation, for delivery to shelters and communities throughout Florida, even in remote or underserved areas.

2. Warm Essentials

   • Blankets and Winter Clothing: As temperatures drop, warmth becomes a basic necessity. Your support will help us provide cozy blankets, warm socks, gloves, and scarves to individuals and families, allowing them to stay safe and comfortable through the colder months.
   • Targeted Winter Assistance: We’ll focus on areas heavily impacted by recent weather events, where access to warm essentials is crucial, bringing comfort to those at risk from Florida’s changing temperatures.

3. Care Packages for Dignity and Well-being

   • Hygiene and Health Kits: Each kit will include toiletries such as soap, toothpaste, and hand sanitizers, as well as snacks and beverages, to promote both physical and emotional well-being. For those without stable housing, these essentials provide a renewed sense of dignity.
   • Customized Care Packages: Every kit will be tailored to meet specific needs. For instance, senior kits may include additional health items, while children’s kits will include basic necessities alongside small, joyful gifts to make the holiday extra special.

4. Community Outreach and Thanksgiving Events

   • Gathering and Meal Services: Part of our mission is to create a community atmosphere where individuals can gather to enjoy a hot meal, companionship, and the joy of Thanksgiving. We will host Thanksgiving meal events in various Florida communities, complete with music, warm beverages, and volunteers to serve, interact, and uplift.
   • Holiday Cheer and Volunteer Engagement: Volunteers will help serve meals, distribute care packages, and share personal messages of hope and gratitude, making each meal service event not just about food but about creating a shared experience of warmth and belonging.

5. Supporting High-Need Areas in Florida

   • Regional Focus Areas: We will prioritize regions in Florida with the greatest need, including Seminole County, Broward County, and the Tampa Bay area, ensuring that residents in these communities feel the impact of our outreach.
   • Partnership with Local Organizations: By collaborating with local shelters, senior centers, and community groups, we can amplify the reach and effectiveness of every dollar donated, making each meal and blanket go further and maximizing our impact.

Budget Goal

To achieve this vision, we’ve set a goal of $4,500. Here’s how specific donation amounts help us reach our mission:

• $10: Funds a hygiene kit with snacks and beverages for one individual.
• $25: Provides a complete Thanksgiving meal to a homeless individual or senior.
• $50: Covers a meal and care package for a low-income family of four.
• $100: Sponsors meals and warmth essentials for a small group at a shelter or community center.

Campaign Duration

The fundraiser runs from November 13, 2024, to December 2, 2024. This window allows us to gather support, purchase supplies, prepare meals, and bring Thanksgiving joy to those who need it most, right on time for the holiday.
