Made it through surgery!
Little Sharona made it through her surgery. Thankfully, they were able to save her leg. But the damage was even more severe than we had thought. Based on the extent of her injuries, and the way her body had healed, her vet believed she'd likely been living with these injuries and pain for YEARS! Can you imagine?
We are grateful Sharona came to us when she did, and that we could finally give her some relief. Surgery was the right call, but it comes with a big price tag. Can you help us cover the bill?
Oh, my little pretty one--my, my, my, my Sharona!
This pretty little girl has been hiding a lot behind that goofy smile! Shortly after Sharona arrived, our team noticed she had a limp. We got her to the vet, where x-rays revealed multiple fractures to her femur and her pelvis. She'll need surgery to repair the damage and help her live a full, pain-free life.
Sharona was a stray in West Virginia. There's no way for us to know what could have happened. Perhaps she was hit by a car. Or maybe she was kicked or stepped on. We'll never know her past. But one thing we can be certain of, is the bright, pain-free, and cruelty-free future she has in front of her.
