Build a Better World and build "Steve's Place"

Steve Lewine was an exceptional person in so many ways.  Many of us have been looking for a permanent way to honor him. His dedication and devotion to helping others was not only contagious but made a true difference for many people in the US and abroad.

With your help, we are looking to construct "Steve's Place" in Chimaltenango, Guatemala at Balanya English Academy (BEA) where Steve spent so much time with his family and friends.

B3 is a non-profit organization that engages high schools students in local and global community service projects. Steve is a big part of Builders Beyond Borders history.

With your help and that of B3, several Rotary clubs, family and friends, we hope to break ground and begin construction in February 2026 when our first B3 teams travel to Guatemala.

In the summer of 2026, we plan to celebrate Steve and dedicate The Steve Lewine Center for Early Childhood Education at Balanya English Academy ("Steve's Place"). 

It is our sincere hope that supporters and friends will join in the celebration and big dance party in Guatemala. What better way to celebrate the life of someone like Steve?
