Heartbreaking. Sarah and her 4 siblings - all trapped outdoors - all require emergency surgery to remove their eyes from infection.

We hate that we are so dependent on money for our lifesaving work. But it's just reality.

Homeward Trails is the ONLY ORGANIZATION in Virginia going to some of Virginia's most under-resourced communities to bring free, lifesaving medical care, spay/neuter, vaccines and supplies to animals in need.

A newborn kitten just saved struggles to survive. HT will give everything possible to save him.It is through our work that we find - every month- animals suffering from horrific illnesses and injuries that, left untreated, will cause unimaginable pain and suffering. We are always so grateful when we find these animals so that we can help them. But our help depends entirely on our funding. And summertime is simply the hardest, saddest time of year for our work.

Ivan was abandoned at a camp ground and starving while also struggling to walk after being kicked by a horse. Emergency leg surgery is required. We have dozens of animals needing surgeries and medical care - amputations, eye removals, ongoing visits for illness, x-rays and more. We hate to turn any animal away or euthanize for funding. But times are dire right now and we desperately need to close a funding gap or we face having to cancel our remaining field events.

Every month our team is in the field saving lives. HT is going where no other organizations are - we need your support to continue. Please help. Share. Donate. Share some more. The animals need us desperately. We are literally their only chance.
