Please Don’t Let Siesta Get Left Behind

Siesta is only 2 years old, but she already knows what it feels like to have no one. Found wandering as a stray in rural Virginia, this sweet Hound survived the fear and danger of life on the streets, never knowing where her next meal would come from, where she could safely sleep, or whether anyone would stop to help her. Now Siesta sits in a rural shelter, still homeless and still waiting, and heartbreakingly, no one has stepped up to adopt her. After everything she has endured, she deserves more than a kennel and an uncertain future. Homeward Trails desperately wants to get Siesta out of the shelter and into a safe foster home where, maybe for the first time in a long time, she can finally close her eyes without being afraid.
