Every rescued animal deserves a chance at freedom. This is where their next chapter begins.
Since our modest beginnings back in 2004, Toucan Rescue Ranch has had a singular mission: rescue, rehabilitate, and rewild as many animals as possible. From the small-scale rescue center that started all those years ago on our founder's porch, we have evolved into a thriving sanctuary and rehabilitation center, providing hundreds of animals with a second chance.
From orphaned baby sloths to injured toucans, monkeys, and crocodiles, we care for animals that have lost their place in the wild, typically due to human intervention. Every day, our dedicated team provides medical care, nutrition, and rehabilitation for these animals who depend on it.
But the goal has always been freedom.
Our Release Site, located deep in the lush rainforests, is the place where this goal is met. The final and most important steps of all the animals in our care take place at the Release Site, from learning to forage for food to practicing climbing or flying. This is where the animals prepare themselves to return to freedom.
It's where their wild stories turn into new beginnings.
But running the Release Site isn't easy... or cheap. This Giving Tuesday, we are focusing our efforts on the Release Site in an effort to give more animals a chance at a fresh start at freedom.
The Release Site requires medical supplies for animals in rehabilitation, specialized diets and enrichment for those relearning their wild instincts, and secure enclosures that prepare animals for their natural habitats. Every branch, shelter, and tree we maintain gives an animal the confidence and abilities it will need to survive in the wild.
This not only takes a lot of hard work, but also help from people like you.
The Release Site needs $700–$1,200 to function on a weekly basis, and that is just the minimum of needs met. We have hopes of expanding enclosures, revamping our clinic to suit more animals, and repairing buildings that desperately need it.
As a non-profit organization, Toucan Rescue Ranch relies entirely on the generosity and donations from people like you to keep both our Headquarters and the Release Site up and running.
This Giving Tuesday, your donation will fund the Release Site directly, allowing us to help more animals find their freedom.
Together, we can continue to help wild stories find their new beginnings. Donate Today!
