¡Nos emociona anunciar el regreso de nuestro concurso anual de fotografía #TRRShareYourShot!
Este concurso ha sido fundamental para ayudar a Toucan Rescue Ranch a financiar mejoras esenciales en el Santuario y el Sitio de Liberación, incluyendo una nueva cerca de seguridad, aviarios, cerraduras para recintos y señalización informativa.
En Toucan Rescue Ranch entendemos que la fotografía juega un papel vital en la conservación y la educación. Share Your Shot no es solo un concurso de fotografía, también es un esfuerzo colectivo para brindar una segunda oportunidad a la vida silvestre de Costa Rica.
Este año, cada dólar recaudado a través del concurso será destinado directamente a nuestro Fondo WildMed — el corazón de nuestra clínica — lo que hace posible que cientos de animales silvestres heridos, enfermos y huérfanos reciban la atención médica que necesitan para regresar al bosque.
¿Por qué es importante tu donación?
Mantener nuestra clínica funcionando cuesta aproximadamente $3,000 cada mes — y son tus donaciones las que hacen esto posible.
El Fondo WildMed cubre insumos médicos esenciales como guantes, jeringas, vendajes, medicamentos y mucho más. Nuestra clínica no solo salva vidas, ¡también prepara a los animales para sanar, fortalecerse y regresar a su hogar natural!
¿Cómo contribuye esto a nuestro Programa de Educación?
Nuestra clínica es más que un centro de recuperación — es donde se construye el futuro de la conservación de la vida silvestre.
Estudiantes y profesionales de todo el mundo vienen a aprender, crecer y obtener experiencia práctica que marcará el rumbo de sus carreras y el destino de muchos animales. Pero nada de esto sería posible sin los recursos necesarios para tratar a cada paciente. Cada rescate, cirugía y liberación depende de poseer el equipo adecuado. Tu apoyo impulsa no solo la recuperación, sino también una herencia de aprendizaje, acción e impacto duradero.

INICIO DE VOTACIÓN/DONACIONES: 8 de agosto al 21 de agosto de 2025 (11:59 p.m. Hora de Costa Rica)
REGLAS DE PARTICIPACIÓN:
Solo se permite UNA (1) foto por participante.
El periodo de envíos termina el 7 de agosto a las 11:59 p.m. Hora de Costa Rica
La foto debe estar relacionada con la vida silvestre y seguir el tema de este año: "A través del lente de lo salvaje"
¡Todas las edades pueden participar! Menores de 18 años necesitarán el permiso de un padre o tutor.
Habrá premios para 1er, 2do y 3er lugar (tres finalistas en total).
Solo se considerarán fotos enviadas mediante el formulario oficial de inscripción.
🚫 Solo se aceptarán fotografías éticas que muestren una interacción respetuosa entre humanos y fauna silvestre.

We are thrilled to announce our 4th annual #TRRShareYourShot Photography Contest!
This contest has helped the Toucan Rescue Ranch fund vital improvements to the Sanctuary and the Release Site, including a new security fence, aviary enclosures, enclosure locks, and informational signs!
Here at the Toucan Rescue Ranch, we understand that photography plays a vital role in conservation and education. Share Your Shot is not only a photography contest, but it is also a collective effort to give Costa Rica’s wildlife a second chance.
This year, every dollar raised through this Photography Contest will go directly to our WildMed Fund — the lifeline of our clinic — making it possible for hundreds of injured, sick, and orphaned wildlife to receive life-saving care and the second chance they deserve to return to the wild.
Why does your donation matter?
It costs approximately $3,000 each month to keep our clinic running — and it's your donations that make it possible for us to continue providing critical care to injured, sick, and orphaned wildlife who depend on us.
The WildMed Fund covers essential everyday medical supplies like gloves, syringes, bandages, medicine, and so much more. Our clinic provides wildlife with the expert care they need — not just to survive, but to heal, grow, and return stronger to their natural home!
How will this contribute to our Education Program?
Our clinic is more than a place of healing — it’s where the future of wildlife conservation is built.
Aspiring veterinarians and conservationists from around the world come here to learn, grow, and gain hands-on experience that will shape their careers and the lives of countless animals. But none of this can happen without the critical resources needed to treat and rehabilitate every patient. Each rescue, surgery, and release depends on having the right tools and supplies — because without them, even the best intentions fall short. Your support fuels not just recovery, but a legacy of learning, action, and lasting impact.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN #TRRShareYourShot
PHOTOGRAPHY SUBMISSIONS END: August 7th, 2025 (11:59 pm Costa Rica Time)
VOTING/DONATING STARTS: August 8th, ends August 21th, 2025 (11:59 pm Costa Rica Time)
SUBMISSION RULES:
- You may only submit ONE (1) photo.
- The submission period ENDS August 7th. 11:59 pm Costa Rica Time.
- The photo must be related to wildlife and follow this year's theme: Through the Lens of the Wild
- All ages are welcome to participate, but if you are under 18, you will need permission from a parent or guardian to submit your photo.
- All ages can enter and are eligible to win! There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, a total of three (3) finalists.
- Only photos submitted through the official submission form will be considered for this contest.
- 🚫 Only ethical wildlife photos that practice respectful human-wildlife interactions will be considered.
- Only photos under the previously established rules will be accepted.
