Support Women’s Health at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital
With renovations of both the Breast Center and the Women’s Center, Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital is investing nearly $10 million in the health of women in Arlington, Grand Prairie, and southeast Tarrant County. The Texas Health Resources Foundation is seeking $1.5 million in philanthropic funds to support these renovations.
Serving Women and Families in Arlington
Texas Health Arlington Memorial’s Breast and Women’s centers serve thousands of women annually, many of whom are uninsured or rely on Medicare or Medicaid. Access to quality care is essential for the well-being of women in our community, as early detection and ongoing support for maternal and breast health can significantly impact long-term health outcomes.
While the hospital has upgraded equipment over the years to keep pace with technological advances, these facilities are 40 years old and in need of improvements. The proposed renovations will create a better environment for our patients and their families and will allow our staff to care for patients more efficiently and effectively.
Breast Center
Knowing the anxiety that can surround a visit to the Breast Center, our goal for the renovation is to create a spa-like, serene atmosphere with better patient flow and state-of-the-art technology.
Highlights include:
- New 3D mammography equipment that can capture images more quickly and allow the Breast Center staff to treat more women in need.
- Converting an existing space into a tranquil suite designed for inpatient biopsies.
- A new breast biopsy system that allows us to shorten the amount of time a woman spends in compression.
- Bone density machine that will meet all a patient's needs in one place.
Women’s Center
Texas Health Arlington Memorial is proud to be certified as a Level III Maternal and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. With the planned renovation, we will build on that strength with updates that will improve patient experience.
Highlights include:
- Renovation of the Women’s Center lobby and atrium. The atrium serves as a vital corridor for patients and visitors to the hospital, linking the Emergency Room to the main hospital.
- Renovation of labor and delivery rooms.
- Transformation of the current OB Emergency Department into private suites for enhanced patient and family comfort during emergency and obstetric services.
- Renovation of the operating room suite to improve efficiency and care quality.
- Revision of the family and patient waiting areas, as well as registration, with the addition of a coffee bar.
The Role of Philanthropy
Philanthropic support is needed to help realize this vision. The Breast and Women’s Centers see thousands of women each year during vulnerable moments in their lives.
Your gift will play a significant role in improving patient experience and increasing access to quality patient care. Naming opportunities are available.
