About the Beethoven Festival

For nearly 40 years the mission of the Beethoven Festival Park City has been to ENGAGE AND INSPIRE LISTENERS with vibrant, inviting classical chamber music performances of the highest order.

Thrilling Command Performances are the hallmark of the Festival: Thrilling "up-close and personal" experiences.
Each concert program is unique. Listeners are treated to a menu of favorite composer's works and new discoveries, presented by the finest artists.

Hearing classical chamber music up close is a rich experience to be savored. The audience and the musicians are close together in the beautiful spaces. The artists give their all making the Beethoven Festival concerts once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

CONCERTS YEAR ROUND: This coming spring, summer and fall we are thrilled to again bring live music to our audiences. Your safety and the safety of our musicians is our priority. We go beyond the minimum safety guidelines and require everyone to be masked indoors, and ask everyone to distance whenever possible. Masks are not feasible for some musicians, so the audience does their part wearing masks to help us protect their fellow audience members, the artists and their families.

We pledge to continue to work to present concerts year-round as safely as possible.

Sharing concerts recorded live:
The Beethoven Festival emerged in 1984 (originally founded as the Deer Valley Chamber Music Festival). More than half of the already over 850 intimate chamber concerts have been recorded and many were filmed. The Festival is proud to share these premiere performances online for everyone to enjoy free of charge.

Each Festival concert is unique. The Festival brings together world-class musicians - outstanding classical soloists from all over. They gather together in residence in Park City to prepare programs heard nowhere else in the world. A number of those artists are no longer with us, but their legacies are preserved forever in the Festival online recordings.

For nearly 40 years, classical music lovers have continued to find their way to mountain lodges, recital halls, art galleries, churches, temples, parks and private homes to hear firsthand these artists share their magic.

There is no shortage of classical music recordings and concerts being streamed online, but the Festival's recorded live performances have that special energy of performing for a live audience. The audience is part of the experience and the artists are communicating directly with each listener.

The BEETHOVEN FESTIVAL ONLINE series already includes over 100 concerts recorded live at the Festival. They are premiered online and remain available for anyone in the world to enjoy.

Music inspires and energizes us. As so many of us are staying home and fighting off this pandemic, concerts all over the world have been put on hold. The dream of bringing fine musicians together to recreate the treasures of classical music is being kept alive by the musicians themselves as they continue to practice and prepare, honing their skills, for the time we can perform together for live audiences again.

Thank you for your support as the Beethoven Festival continues its work.
