Today, you can change a life.

Your donation - large or small - directly impacts how many dogs we can pull from shelters, how many we can vet, how many we can board, and ultimately, how many we can save.

You are the engine that powers this rescue! Youare the reason dogs live to see tomorrow!

ALR's mission is to rescue Labrador Retrievers and Lab Mixes from overwhelmed shelters and abusive situations and place them in secure, loving homes. We average 40-50 dogs in the program at any given time and we have rescued over 6500 dogs.

This year our transport team will drive over 57,000 miles, the communications team will answer more than 4,000+ emails, and the applications team will interview over 1500 applicants. Not only did this year take more manpower, it took more money, especially when over a third of our intake were special needs dogs. In addition to many heartworm positive dogs, this year we took 11 dogs that had been hit by cars, 8 required orthopedic surgery, and 2 had MRI's. We had 5 dogs that had ophthalmic surgery, 1 puppy that had heart surgery, 3 dogs had oral surgery, 5 dogs had skin issues that were so bad they required a dermatologist, and 2 dogs saw an oncologist to treat cancer... and those were just the specialists. None of this included our cost of basic vetting, over 10,000 nights of boarding and training for 113 dogs.

The average cost is expected to reach $1500. Atlanta Lab Rescue is a non-profit, 501c3 organization and 100% of your donations are used for the rescue, transport, medical needs, feeding, training, boarding and care of these dogs.
