Blep Has a Serious Problem

Blep was rescued from a rural property where the caregiver was overwhelmed with cats and kittens to feed. Blep stood quietly off to the side as we talked to the caregiver, waiting to see if we had more food to put out. Once he saw the cans come out, he came right over, rubbing up against our legs. We scooped him up to bring back to Homeward Trails with us. Once we brought him back and were checking him over, we saw the giant bleeding ulcer covering Blep's entire paw pad. This must have been so painful to walk on in the gravel on the property he came from. It's a wonder it's not infected. The vet believes it's an autoimmune condition that will require a long course of meds. But he also has a heart murmur and horrible dental disease. The vet said he will likely need a full mouth extraction. This little guy has a lot going on and needs your help to get healthy.
