2026 Annual Appeal

We invite you to join our appeal for support as we prepare for 2026. We build on the many successful accomplishments of 2025, with the theme of "Thresholds and Communities", ranging from a pair of Spring and Autumn Symposia, Episodes for "The Research Group Speaks", Workshops, and Meetings of the Friends of the RGME, to a special Autumn Colloquium based at Princeton. Our theme for 2026 centers upon "Transformation and Renewal", carrying forward the momentum and enthusiasm for our achievements and their potential.

Our subject:  Manuscripts and More.  Written records from across history and across the globe, from perspectives and expertise drawing upon the arts and sciences, and for scholars, teachers, students, collectors, book-lovers, and others.  Studying the evidence from the past and present to build bridges toward the future.  

Our work embraces a wide variety of subjects, materials, and original sources. They range from the antique to Post-Modern worlds and including manuscripts, fragments, documents, printed books, seals and seal matrices, maps, music, illustrations, scraps, curiosities, and more. Often our events and projects bring together experts, early-career scholars, students (both graduate and undergraduate) We open our research, discoveries, and activities to a wider audience, academic, in-between, and other.

We are preparing activities to develop the momentum and enthusiasm for our work as we enter twenty-seven years as a Section 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational organization based in Princeton, New Jersey, and thirty-seven years as an international scholarly society founded in Cambridge, England.  

In view of increased challenges for funding opportunities, we turn to you for the encouragement which your donation can bring. We invite you to donate what you can. Our low overheads as an organization principally powered by volunteers mean that your donations can directly help to support our organization and our mission.
