Cookie’s Puppyhood Shouldn’t Be This Sad

Cookie is only 5 months old. This tiny Terrier mix has already faced the harsh reality of life as a stray in southwest Virginia. All alone, she wandered the streets searching for food and shelter, scared and exposed to dangers no puppy should ever endure. Instead of feeling safe in someone’s arms, Cookie’s short life has been filled with fear, hunger, and uncertainty, and now she sits in a rural shelter with no family to claim her. Homeward Trails desperately wants to save Cookie, to give her the warmth and love she has never known, but we need donations and sponsors to turn her heartbreaking start into the happy life every puppy deserves.
