We're on the ground in Danville, Virginia and the heat is brutal. Not only for our team, but for the cats and kittens struggling to survive. The caregivers we are helping are doing the best they can, but the heat only makes things harder for everyone. Kittens with horrible eye and upper respiratory infections, cats with injuries and illnesses, and caregivers trying to make ends meet. Our team is providing over 50 cats and kittens with spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchips, and any additional medical treatment needed through our Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) program.

Our team was touched this week when we had the opportunity to assist a caregiver who is on a tight fixed income with limited mobility. She begged for our help as she didn't want the cats who live in her yard to suffer. She feeds them what she can, but it breaks her heart to see kitten after kitten emerge from under her porch and to feel powerless to stop the cycle. We're committed to helping her TNVR all of her cats so that she won't see any more kittens and providing her food to help ease what we're sure is an overwhelming burden. With your support, we're able to make a difference in not only her life, but also the lives of the cats who depend on her for food every day.

While our TNVR trips focus on cats, we always seem to find other animals in need. We were alerted to a dog who had been dumped, a tiny little pup who has to weigh less than 5 pounds. Little Clover spent her days running from house to house, begging for food. She spent her nights curled up between one nice woman's front door and storm door to stay safe from predators. She's become so used to fending for herself she would get spooked and run off when anyone tried to leash her. Our team spent hours trying to earn her trust and it paid off. Clover is now safe inside and getting the care (and rest) she so desperately needs.

Our work is only possible with your support. Any amount helps us continue to serve these caregivers who have no one else to turn to. Please donate and share!
