Dexter is a a sweet 8 year old beagle mix from southwest Virginia whose world fell apart when his owner moved away and couldn't bring him with them. One day he had a home, a bed, and someone who loved him, and the next, he was alone in a noisy shelter, confused and heartbroken. Senior dogs like Dexter rarely get a second glance in rural shelters, where adoption rates are already heartbreakingly low. He sits quietly, waiting for someone to notice him, not understanding why no one has shown any interest. Homeward Trails wants to give Dexter the chance to live out his golden years in comfort and love, but they can only do that with your support.
