Help Finance Recovery Café Supportive Services

Dove House Recovery Café is a community based on the belief that everyone deserves love and belonging; and that meaningful belonging to community is essential for recovery. And everyone is recovering from something, this could be substance use, loss, trauma, and/or grief, to name a few. 

This space has created a large safety net for many in our community and the café is seeing a financial need of $200,000 over the next two years with a cut in County funding.

The Recovery Café is not only a place where anyone, especially the vulnerable, can find community, but can receive immediate access to basic need such as hygiene items for showers and laundry, feminine products, toothbrushes/paste, hand warmers, tents, tarps, sleeping bags, and back packs. 

Clients can get a meal, work alongside an advocate and begin to heal through recovery circles, events such as recoveroke or open mic night, and build trust in a nonjudgmental environment. We partner with community agencies other agencies doing coordinated entry onsite, serve lunches to  Discovery Behavioral Healthcare's Partial Inpatient Treatment clients, and host the Shelter Coalition Meetings to lower barriers for individuals that no longer have to go to multiple locations.  

We believe in strong relationships for our clients and host other groups doing the work that cannot afford the overhead cost of a building when the café is closed. These groups include NAMI, Wellbriety, and Adult Children of Alcoholics to name a few. 

All of these items are important and we want to continue doing the work and providing essential services to our clients without any disruption. The need is there, and we are asking the community to help us fill the gaps.

If 20 people gave $10,000 = $200,000 is achieved! 

If 40 people gave $5,000 = $200,000 is achieved!

If 100 people gave $2,000 = $200,000 is achieved!

If 200 people gave $1,000 = $200,000 is achieved!

If 400 people gave $500 = $200,000 is achieved!

If 100 people gave $83.35 a month for 24 months = $200,000 is achieved!
