Starving Mama & Puppies Desperately Need Saving

Beautiful Ivy is a sweet one year old Husky. This loving girl has already lived through more hardship than most dogs ever will. Discarded in southwest Virginia with her five tiny, malnourished 8 week old puppies, her ribs sticking out from weeks of not getting enough to eat, and her babies are heartbreakingly small for their age. Their owner wasn’t taking care of them, and though they’ve now been surrendered to one of our partner shelters, it’s still a frightening, uncertain world for this little family. Even more heartbreaking is that there are reportedly five more puppies from Ivy’s litter that the owner is trying to sell, and the shelter is desperately trying to bring them to safety. Right now, we want to help the ones we can - and that's by bringing Ivy and these five puppies to Homeward Trails and getting them into a foster home. Please help us give this family a second chance and make room at the shelter for the others.
