This Giving Tuesday, I'm partnering with JQY (Jewish Queer Youth) to raise critical funds for life-saving work with LGBTQ Jewish youth from historically non-accepting communities.
Right now, young people are facing isolation and discrimination at the intersection of queer and Orthodox identities, and they need support immediately. JQY creates affirming environments and provides essential resources for youth who have nowhere else to turn.
JQY's life-saving work is made possible through targeted support systems: a weekly Drop-in Center provides free mental health care and community connection. A Jewish queer book club gives youth across the country representation they can connect to monthly. Educational programming equips therapists and community leaders with tools to create safer, more compassionate environments at the source. These and countless other touchpoints are lifelines that equip Jewish queer youth to survive and thrive.
