Founded in 1999 by a small group of volunteers, Camp Starlight has served hundreds of families over the years. Now in its third decade, the weeklong camp remains volunteer-run, and its costs are covered entirely by donations. The Camp Starlight volunteer corps includes mental health and medical teams, as well as trained volunteers who lead activities and serve as cabin counselors. There is no cost to families, and Camp Starlight supplies campers’ needs for the week and beyond, such as clothing, shoes, towels and bedding. All campers go home with a backpack full of school supplies for the coming year.

Said one parent: “Over the last 10 years Camp Starlight has been an important part of my children's lives. It’s been a place of safety, acceptance, and many fond memories. The volunteers put a huge amount of energy and effort into making sure each child gets the individual attention and support they need to have an amazing week of fun, friendship, and exciting adventures. I can’t say enough wonderful things about the people who make Camp Starlight happen every year. As a parent, Camp Starlight is one of the few places I feel comfortable sending my child, knowing that their medical needs will be taken care of in a discrete and professional manner.”

Please consider your gift to keep Camp Starlight shining bright for many more magical summers.
