I’m running the 2026 Cleveland Marathon in honor of lupus warriors — because lupus is a marathon, too.

Through my work with the Lupus Foundation of America, Greater Ohio Chapter, I’ve met some of the most resilient and inspiring people I’ve ever known. Lupus is unpredictable and relentless, yet every person I’ve met living with it has shown me what true strength, compassion, and perseverance look like. They’ve taught me that even in a world that often feels divided, there is incredible power in community — and that together, we can go farther than we ever could alone.

The Lupus Foundation of America, Greater Ohio Chapter has been a lifeline for thousands of Ohioans, offering education, support, and advocacy for those navigating this complex disease. But after losing critical state funding and corporate support, the organization faces a financial uphill climb to continue serving the lupus community and to reach its 50th anniversary. Despite these challenges, the lupus community has shown up — proving once again that when people unite around a cause, amazing things happen.

As I train for the marathon, I’ll be sharing my progress and using every mile to raise awareness for those who fight this battle every day. By supporting my run, you’re helping to sustain crucial patient programs, fund research for better treatments and a cure, and ensure that no one has to face lupus alone. Lupus is a marathon — and together, we can go the distance.
