Why Supporting Access to Performing Arts Education and Programming Is
More Important Than Ever

How our kids develop shapes our world.

How our seniors and veterans stay healthy and vibrant is our duty.

How adults with neurodivergence and developmental disability view their own potential is key.

But what if you never had a chance to be part of a team, explore your creativity, or find your confidence?

What if you couldn’t learn to sing, dance, perform -- or even access online education?

As we approach 2026, access to the arts and education is shrinking while the need grows stronger every day.

Opportunity, dreams, and hopes are disappearing  -- along with funding and infrastructure.

AhHa!Broadway is a crucial part of the solution.
We are a last line of defense.

And YOU are the fuel that makes our Possibility Engine ignite.

Facts:

  • 1 in 8 NYC students experiences homelessness.
  • More and more schools are no longer offering performing arts programs.
  • Countless seniors, veterans, and neurodivergent adults continue to lose access to classes that once connected them to community and purpose.

For kids and teens, the performing arts are critical to developing confidence, communication, and leadership -- building the next generation of balanced, creative citizens.

For seniors and veterans, they are a lifeline to wellness, dignity, and belonging.

For neurodivergent adults and adults with developmental disabilities performing arts can deliver unique fulfillment and even “make dreams come true”.

At AhHa!Broadway, we believe everyone deserves the chance to Learn. Perform. Believe.

Because when that happens, something amazing occurs — the impossible becomes possible.

Or rather: I’m Possible.

Your support makes that possible.

As AhHa!Broadway begins our 6th year serving as many people and communities as we can, we reflect on the wide-ranging ways we’ve seen impact take shape with thousands of students, and hundreds of seniors, veterans, and neurodivergent and developmentally-disabled adults in NYC and well beyond:

  • Online learning and technology initiatives such as 1,000 Kids bringing technology and programs to multiple schools, to The Kindness Project engaging with community venues and events to inspire positive ideals, literacy, and an original staged musical production
  • In-school and after-school programs and theatre productions at 8 NYC-area schools (and growing!)
  • An ever-increasing roster of in-person and online workshops and classes in acting, dancing, stage makeup, puppetry, comedy writing and performance, and 1940’s-style radio play recreations
  • Movement classes, comedy workshops, and theatre programs in centers for seniors, developmental disabled adults, and neurodivergent adults
  • Our popular summer musical theatre camp with professional Broadway mentors, a fully-staged musical production with live musicians in front of a live audience, and a Broadway show experience
  • Dynamic community events and partnerships
  • A free educational podcast for kids
  • And a soon-to-be launched academy-style workshop series to inspire leadership in teen girls

Here's the thing: half of our funding comes from donations like yours -- and your contribution today ensures these vital programs continue for those who need them most.

Kids need us. Seniors need us. Veterans need us. Neurodivergent and developmentally-disabled adults need us.

And we need you.

Please join us.

While the need is big, our $25,000 campaign goal is crucial fuel for our Possibility Engine.

Be part of turning the impossible into possible.

Donate now to determine what the future of performing arts can -- and will -- be.

Thank you,
