A HUGE thank-you to everyone who donated! Not only did we receive enough to purchase a kitty wheelchair, a kind donor purchased one for us, now enabling two, deserving kitties the gift of mobility! Thank-you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and generosity!
Corozal Animal Welfare Advocates would like to purchase wheelchairs for two, rear-leg paralyzed cats at Bonanza Shelter Project P.G. (Punta Gorda, Belize)....perhaps one of the biggest rescues in Belize, with over 50 felines and 70 canines on premises. Jackeline does NOT discern between whether an animal is easily adoptable or whether the animal truly needs medical help...they are all welcome, and cared for, at her rescue! We all struggle with a lack of adequate resources and lack of willing donors (not withstanding the many, wonderful people who support our work!) to accommodate our greatest needs for some of the most vulnerable animals that cross our paths. Some of us are located in places where we don't enjoy the benefit of tourism (certainly not a dig, for those areas that are lucky to benefit!). Jackie has the most amazing heart...and I hope someone, or two, because there are actually two cats in need, would be interested in helping.
IF you choose to bestow a gift of kindness, we will need all donations by 23 Aug, so we can order, receive from Amazon, and hand-carry them back to Belize from the U.S.
