River Needs an Amputation

River is a community cat we met last week during our Trap-Neuter-Return event. We're not sure how her leg was originally injured, but she curls it under when she walks. The vet determined she has permanent nerve damage in that leg and overtime the way she's been walking on it will cause abscesses  which will become infected. Therefore, amputation will give her the best quality of life. She won't have to worry about sepsis and the unusable leg won't slow her down. Fortunately, we have a team in place to help River recover inside after her surgery and her loving caregivers to help her get used to her new normal. We just need your help covering the surgery. Help us make sure River is able to live her best life.
