Hera is Tired of Being Homeless

Hera is just 1 year old, a beautiful Lab mix from southwest Virginia who was found wandering as a stray and never reclaimed. She was found before anything bad happened to her and brought to a rural shelter. Now she spends her days behind shelter walls, scared, lonely, and wondering if she’ll ever know the warmth of a real home. Life in a shelter is heartbreaking. Life for Hera is surrounded by cold floors, endless noise, and the painful uncertainty of being forgotten. No dog should spend their youth trapped in fear and isolation. Homeward Trails is working to raise the donations and sponsors needed to free Hera and give her the safe, loving life she deserves. Without help, she may never get her chance.
