Who We Are
Our founder, Jonathan Barthelemy, is originally from Haiti. He and his wife, Jessica, met in Haiti while her family were missionaries in the country. After marrying in 2010, Jonathan and Jessica went back to Haiti to work with a nonprofit organization called New Life International from southern Indiana to help provide clean water and much more. The Barthelemy family moved back to the US in 2014 and continued to work on creating ways to help people in Haiti, not only through providing clean water but also to help children dying from malnutrition. While working on founding this ministry in 2020, Jehovah Jireh (which means the Lord will provide Genesis 22:14) came to mind. This led to the creation of Jehovah Jireh Ministries. Jehovah Jireh Ministries (JJM) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Bloomington, Indiana. JJM, as a religious and nonprofit organization, integrates the Bible in the spreading of love and support in all its programs. The organization was founded to equip and train people according to the biblical scriptures and to help those in need, whether physical or spiritual. Forritual. For a few years now, JJM has conducted outreach programs in the US and other parts of the world. Specifically, JJM provides food packages, medical aid, educational opportunities, and other support tools to communities in need wherever they are. Currently, JJM conducts most of its activities in Haiti and its rural communities. JM’smunities.JJM’s initiative of generosity and of helping the poor and marginalized stemmed from its fervent belief in the Bible and its teachings. Jehovah Jireh Ministries believes that it is the intent of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to feed the hungry (Matthew 25:34-40; Isaiah 58:7-8); to care for the poor (Matthew 19:21; Psalm 112:9; II Corinthians 9:6-9); and to care for the widows and orphans (James 1:27). It further believes that such ministry should be toward His name to both saints and unbelievers (Hebrews 6:10).
