Berkley's Owners Didn't Care About Him

Once someone’s pet, Berkley now carries the quiet sadness of a dog who’s been forgotten. This handsome 3 year old lab mix was found wandering the streets, hungry and lost. When a microchip was scanned, there was a moment of hope. Berkley's owners were contacted and shelter staff thought that he would be reunited in no time. Sadly, his owners never came. They knew he was missing and still chose not to bring him home. Despite the heartbreak, Berkley remains gentle and trusting, holding on to the belief that love still exists. He was fortunate to make his way to Homeward Trails, but we still need help covering the cost of his vetting. Please help show him that being left behind doesn’t mean he isn’t worthy of love.
