Help Annie Build a Better World

Please help me build a Better World by supporting my work with Builders Beyond Borders (B3)!

B3 is a non-profit organization that engages high school students in local and global community service projects. Throughout the year, we work alongside community partners on service projects in our local area. In February of 2027, I will be travelling to Ecuador with B3 to continue this work and help make a positive impact in another community. 

Your generous donations will not only help fund my trip, but also support our work and the community we will be working alongside in Ecuador. Contributions are used to help provide jobs for local workers and essential materials for our projects, including cement, wheelbarrows, shovels, and other construction supplies. These resources allow us to work together with community members to help meet local needs. 

Last February, I travelled to Guatemala with B3, where our team helped build an elementary school at the Balanya English Academy that has since been finished and opened to provide younger students the opportunity to get an education and learn English. Seeing this accomplishment made me so proud and gave me a greater appreciation for the teamwork and dedictaion that goes into building something that will benefit the local younger generation for years to come. 

B3 has come to mean so much more to me than giving back. It has opened my eyes to a bigger world, pushed me outside my comfort zone, and given me opportunities to grow as a leader within my own team and connect with people from different backgrounds. This year, being my senior year, I am honored to hold the title of Senior Student Advisor, where I get to grow my experience in leadership alongside my Adult Advisors to play a bigger role in the team, from facilitating team meetings to getting to know each one of my peers, making the most of my last year with them!

B3 has shown me a love and passion for volunteering that I otherwise may have never discovered, teaching me the value of giving back and forever inspiring me to want to continue making a difference in our world. For this, I am grateful to have such opportunities and support!
