Since 1990, LYG has stood as a lifeline for LGBTQIA+ youth across Kentuckiana. We’ve been the South’s oldest youth-serving LGBTQIA+ organization, offering free, affirming spaces where young people can be fully themselves—and thrive.

$25 – "Snacks & Smiles" Provide healthy snacks for youth at weekly programs, ensuring no young person goes hungry while building community.
$50 – "Moving to Belonging" Covers transportation or supplies so a young person can attend their very first LYG program.
$100 – "Empowerment Camp Scholarship" Funds a youth’s spot at Empowerment Camp, where leadership and confidence grow in a safe, affirming space.
$250 – "Pride Prom Sponsor" Helps underwrite Pride Prom, a joyful, free event where hundreds of LGBTQIA+ teens dance, celebrate, and belong.
$500 – "Community Builder" Supports one of our signature events like the Queer Fam Skate Jam, Summer Splash Pool Party and Trans Joy Party where youth and families come together with our expanded community to celebrate and create joy!
$1,000 – "Leadership Circle" Powers the work of the Youth Leadership Council, equipping young people to advocate for themselves and lead impactful work for their peers.
$2,500 – "Statewide Sustainer" Expands the Kentucky GSA Network into rural communities, ensuring that even in the most isolated areas, LGBTQIA+ youth have access to safe spaces and resources.

In 2024, our Youth Leadership Council organized against KY SB150 and built statewide momentum through GSA workshops and the Rainbow Revolution. In 2025, we’re expanding the KY GSA Network beyond Jefferson County, deepening leadership training, and strengthening rural outreach.
