Adult Day Health Care of Mad River is a medically based day program for adults who are dependent on others for some of their care. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit located on the campus of Mad River Community Hospital and we are proud to be celebrating 40 years of servcie to our community. We are dedicated to ensuring that our participants can remain in the lowest level of care needed for as long as possible while providing caregivers with a needed break from the demands of caregiving.
Our multidisciplinary staff consists of nurses, social workers, physical, occupational and speech therapists, a dietitian, an activity coordinator and personal care aides. We offer an enrollment program for people who would like to attend on a regular schedule each week and a drop in respite program for those who only need occasional care by the hour. Our services are covered by Partnership Health Plan, the Veteran's Administration, Redwood Coast Regional Center, some long term care insurance plans or they can be paid for privately.
Our drop-in respite service has a short turn-around time for pre-approval and offers flexibility for folks to attend anywhere from 1 hour to 5 hours in a day with 24 hour advance notice. This is a great opportunity for caregivers who need a safe place to leave their loved one while they take care of errands or personal appointments.
While the majority of our services are covered by various insurance plans, the reimbursement rates do not fully cover our cost for providing these services. This Bold Day Of Giving fundraiser is an opportunity for us to raise gap funding to make up that funding difference.
