This is our 10th year of our Servathon, a community outreach event of enormous scale, when CLS students provide over 1,000 Acts of Service—including meals, volunteer hours, and handmade gifts to numerous non-profits and those in public safety—in one day! This year we will set aside Thursday, March 28 to devote to serving others. Please give generously to this important cause!
Our class will be decorating Birthday Bags for children at Food and Friends DC, an community-based organization in the D.C. region providing home-delivered medically tailored meals and medical nutrition therapy to our neighbors living with cancer, HIV/AIDS, and other serious illnesses.
We'll also decorate Thank You cards for the pastors and staff at our host church, and construct Tulip bouquets for them. Then we'll all make one big poster to thank them for all the ways they take care of us. See the video below for an overview of what this day looked like last year!
