This is our 10th year of our Servathon, a community outreach event of enormous scale, when CLS students provide over 1,000 Acts of Service—including meals, volunteer hours, and handmade gifts to numerous non-profits and those in public safety—in one day! This year we will set aside Thursday, March 28 to devote to serving others. Please give generously to this important cause!
Our class will make Pasta Kits with hand-written notes for distribution through A Wider Circle, a non-profit that serves the Washington DC area by engaging in advocacy to address the root causes of poverty. We will also assemble Snack Kits for distribution at Nourishing Bethesda, a food drive initiative through St. John's Norwood Episcopal Church that serves individuals and families in need of food. Snack Kits will also go to Interfaith Works and Stepping Stones, additional non-profits that provide emergency shelter, supportive housing, essential needs, and employment programs to those in need.
Our Senior Class will then deliver these items to the non-profits in the afternoon! See below for a video overview of this day last year!
