Every holiday season, families hang stockings for their children as symbols of joy, anticipation, and love. But for families affected by Hemolytic Disease of the Fetus and Newborn (HDFN), one stocking may hang empty.
The Allo Hope Foundation’s Stocking Fundraiser began as a way for bereaved parents to fill that empty stocking in honor of the baby they could no longer hold. What started as one mother’s act of remembrance has grown into a powerful movement that now includes families of HDFN survivors as well, all joining together to protect other mothers and babies from preventable harm.
Each donation given to a baby’s stocking goes directly to The Allo Hope Foundation, the longest running 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization working globally to end preventable stillbirth and infant death caused by HDFN. Your name is then written on a card and placed in the stocking as a tangible representation of the safety, provision, and hope your donation will bring to other families facing the same diagnosis. By the end of the season, each stocking serves as a beautiful testament to love, filled with the names of friends, relatives, and strangers who gave in honor of a child’s life.
Because of this collective effort, babies around the world are being saved.
Your donations help The Allo Hope Foundation:
Equip newly diagnosed mothers with life-saving information and support
Fund Rh immunoglobulin and critical blood tests in low-resource countries
Connect families with maternal–fetal medicine specialists who understand HDFN
Advance research and global initiatives to prevent stillbirth and infant death
Every stocking is a reminder of how one child’s life, however brief or hard-fought, continues to impact others and make the world safer for babies yet to come.
Fill a stocking. Save a life. Honor a child.
