I joined JAIA’s Board because I believe deeply in the power of youth leadership and community healing. Young people carry wisdom, strength, and creativity that can reshape entire communities when they are supported, seen, and heard. JAIA provides that space—where youth learn to navigate challenges, lead with authenticity, and heal in community. Watching JAIANTs transform their struggles into leadership has reminded me that when we invest in youth, we invest in the future of collective healing and justice.
Today, JAIA needs us more than ever. Due to federal cuts to social services, community-based organizations like ours are facing critical shortfalls.
