Parivar Bay Area is the USA's first & only Kinnar Hijrah led and empowering organization centering Indian South Asian and Global South transgender, gender-diverse, and intersex (TGNCI) immigrants and asylees, particularly those culturally rooted gender-expansive identities since 2018. Based in San Francisco with global mindset, we are rooted in Indian heritage, Trans leadership, and immigrant justice, we advance social, economic, and legal equity through advocacy, arts, direct support, and leadership development. We reclaim spaces beyond cisnormativity, confront systemic barriers, and build bold, affirming pathways where our communities thrive locally and globally grounded in dignity, belonging, and pride

Parivar Bay Area is the nation’s first and only South Asian, Kinnar–Hijrah–led transgender organization, advancing immigrant justice and cultural belonging for Global South TGNCI communities who are too often erased from both immigrant and trans narratives. Your support fuels life-changing programs, Bridges to Belonging: TILARI for accessible legal services, the IELP Immigrant Emerging Leadership Program, Trans Immigrant Resettlement, and vibrant cultural and arts initiatives that restore stability, pride, and connection. We were the first South Asian trans organization to ever receive government funding, and the same one that lost it for being unapologetically trans-centered and trans-led. Every gift, whether $5 or $50,000, directly confronts systemic barriers like housing instability, discrimination, and lack of culturally competent services.
