Unchained Mothering is a nonprofit that uses art and storytelling to make visible the often-unseen work, stories, choices and contributions of mothers — empowering women to explore and express their fullest potential, and inviting the next generation to lead and serve their community better, while respecting and valuing everyone fully.

We make the invisible visible — mothers, artists, volunteers and partners, all genders, side by side. One story at a time.

Our work today includes:

• If You Would See — AR exhibition, coming to Miami beginning of March 2027: a brick-and-mortar exhibition bringing mothers' stories into public spaces, featuring painting, sculpture, music and more, with over 12 artists telling the stories of 8 mothers who dedicated time to stay home raising their children, and who, for most, later returned to the workforce
• A 7-episode documentary series, extending these stories further into public view
• Community workshops and mentorship programs for women
• Youth leadership mentorship, supporting two independent teen-led organizations: the Juniorette Club of Coconut Grove, alongside the Woman's Club of Coconut Grove, and the South Florida Food Initiative
