"If You Would See" — March 2027 Exhibition & Community Programs

Unchained Mothering is a Miami-based 501(c)(3) making visible the emotional, creative and everyday contributions of mothers — through art, documentary film, augmented reality and community storytelling.

What we've built: a free public AR exhibition, If You Would See, expanded across six stations in Peacock Park, following a Miami Art Week activation at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden and Convention Center area. A documentary archive of ten episodes preserving mothers' stories, with the next series, "5 Years Later," now in progress. An international artist collective of 14+ artists working across photography, painting, sculpture, film, music, writing, performance and augmented reality.

In 2026, we completed the six-stop Peacock Park exhibition and began preparing the next documentary, exhibition and Miami Art Week chapter — building toward March 2027.

Every mother has a story the world has never seen.

In March 2027, we're bringing those stories to life through If You Would See — a brick-and-mortar exhibition featuring painting, sculpture, music and more, created by over 12 artists telling the stories of 8 mothers who dedicated time to stay home raising their children, and who, for most, later returned to the workforce. An augmented reality experience extends these stories further into public spaces.

Your gift funds the exhibition itself: venue, artists, installation, film and sound, the AR experience, workshops, and accessibility — so these stories can finally be seen.
