Phoebe Needles Center Summer Camps

Phoebe Needles Center has been serving its community and the region for over 125 years!

We provide outstanding educational programs for youth and adults and are honored to be of service to others. Our organization's successes and longevity are a testament to the quality of our programs and to the love and support of the communities we serve. Our beautiful and peaceful 78-acre Camp and Conference Center located in the Mountains of Callaway, Virginia is the perfect spot to make lasting impacts on the underserved youth who attend our summer camps.

We love to create an environment and experiences that bring about transformation for children and adults alike. Experiences that change lives, perspectives, and the deepest aspects of the human spirit. At the core of what we do, we are passionate about supporting the communities in our region to help them build resilience, make lasting connections, and find joy in challenging times.

Our Day Camp and Residential Camp programs for 1st-12th graders create community principles that are unconditionally accepting of all who choose to participate regardless of their faith, social status, race, etc. We strive to be an inclusive camp that provides a healthy, safe, and challenging opportunity for children to experience outdoor adventure, nature, service learning, and spiritual growth in a nurturing environment.

Our youth programs are designed to build positive self-esteem, nurture the whole child (body, mind, and spirit), challenge campers to think critically and creatively, develop communication and interpersonal skills, and work with other people in a cooperative fashion. Ultimately, we want to help children become more resilient, learn how to become good stewards and good citizens, and learn how to help care for and support their community.  

We want to make sure that all underserved children in our area can attend our summer camps. Our motto is "No child or youth is turned away because of an inability to pay."  We price our camps at 50-60% less than the cost of camp to help underserved families. On top of that, we give out $20,000 in camp scholarships and other forms of financial aid each summer!

Your support will be used to Sponsor a Camper.
A donation of $600 will help send a child to Day Camp for a week.
A donation of $1,200 will help send a child to Residential Camp for a week.
