ETTA Arts and The Rainbow Players Commitment: 

We are dedicated to Over Turn the bleak vision presented by Eugenics and Labeling of Individuals as Lesser Beings measured against a "norm".  We believe that each person possesses a Distinct Brilliance and ability to Make Art.  We believe that Art Equalizes.

For more than 25 years, a theater company: The Rainbow Players, has devised original theater based on a process of social justice theater.  Personal stories that allow each person to see a way to rise above the injustices.

In the next 25 years:  

1. We continue creative partnerships with:  Individuals & Artists; Performing Arts Organizations; Community Groups to reach for full participation in the artistic community, side by side and on every stage and in every gallery!
2. Our inclusive programming & arts opportunities for the enrichment & empowerment of individuals with lived experience of being labeled “developmentally disabled” continue in the schools, vacation classes: for youth and adults.
3. The Rainbow Players teach others how to stand tall in their ability to self-advocate through the power of the arts: theater, music, song, creative writing, memoir writing, dance and more.

What we do and offer to the community and the world:

• A new way of thinking of the terms “ability” and “disability” by transforming the labels so that ALL people are seen as diverse & infinitely brilliant in all ways without value judgments.

• Training in the process of examining existing systems of thinking that have led to bullying and discrimination in schools, the workplace, and community access.

• Curricula and templates to design arts access in all publicly-offered programming: schools, workshops, museums, & other organizations that serve people who live with the label of “disability.”
