Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without...Be a Salamander Superhero!

$500 goal

April is Earth Month, and we’re taking on the challenge of being Salamander Superheroes by changing some of our habits this month.

Through the Hitchcock Center's 30-Day Sustainability Challenge, we're encouraging our community to do resource-conscious activities, like pack a no-waste lunch, buy locally instead of online, plant native plants for spring, and more.

Visit www.hitchcockcenter.org/salamandersuperhero to learn more about this challenge and to register to participate.

Please join us! You can support Salamander Superheroes this month by making a gift on this page. All donations will support the construction of the Hitchcock Center's new “living” building - a prime example of a local Sustainability Superhero in action!

Designed to meet the rigorous Living Building Challenge standards, our new Hitchcock Center will be the first "living" environmental education center in New England open to the public. Our new home will demonstrate the possibilities of building sustainably - harvesting rainwater to serve all water needs, collecting power from solar energy, and giving back to the land rather than pilfering from it. Now under construction, the new "living" Hitchcock Center will open this fall!

Sustainability is for everyone - you can make a difference!
