This Giving Season, Mindful Life Project invites you to empower the hearts and minds of young people across California. Recognized nationally as a leader in our field, MLP is the largest organization in the U.S. dedicated to providing mindfulness-based direct service programs to students in transitional kindergarten through eighth grade in Title I schools. MLP employs 50 full-time staff members and serves over 20,000 students from 34 schools across 12 districts in 13 cities and eight counties in Northern and Central California each week. 93% of our students are youth of color, 76% are socioeconomically disadvantaged, and 40% are English Learners.
Mindful Life Project provides two engaging programs for students in Title I low income schools. Learn more about our Mindful Community and Rise Up programs here!
You’re helping us reach 33 schools and thousands of TK–8th grade students.
With your support, classrooms are transforming, students are learning lifelong skills, and families and educators are receiving resources that strengthen entire school communities. Your generosity fuels:
Weekly mindfulness and SEL programming that nurtures emotional resilience.
Safe spaces where students can breathe, reset, and feel supported.
Family and community workshops that bring mindfulness beyond the classroom.
Training for educators on trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices
Because of you, a child now has the skills to calm their mind when big emotions arise. A classroom that felt chaotic now has tools for focus and connection. A school community feels more supported, more grounded, and more hopeful.
