Midwest Gypsy Swing Fest

The MGSF’s seeds were planted by Sims and Maggie of Harmonious Wail.

Sims’ vision of introducing the authentic music of Django Reinhardt to the Midwest has drawn musicians from across the US and Europe. His vision has been fulfilled beyond his dreams.

The annual festival has become a bi-annual festival and has spread its wings to cover and add funds to two annual award programs of philanthropy: The Conzemius Scholarship Fund and The Henry Mac Fund.

The Midwest Gypsy Swing Fest prides itself on being a festival where performers and attendees merge. Friendships are made both on and off the stage. New friends become old friends and the music of Django Reinhardt and his love for our American Jazz standards perfume the air with music forever.
