For nearly three decades, TAP-FLOS has stood in the gap for families who feel lost, unseen, and overwhelmed while navigating the autism journey.

Many parents don’t know where to turn or how to fight for the services their child deserves.We know that pain personally. My son Shaquan was a speaking toddler until almost age 3. Then everything changed. His words, abilities, and learned skills slipped away right in front of me. The floor dropped out from under both of us. That trauma shapes a parent forever.

TAP-FLOS was built so no family ever faces that alone.

We serve low-income families, single mothers, and children of color across Westchester County. Our programs fill the gaps the system leaves wide open—sensory backpacks, parent advocacy, life-skills programs, adult inclusion activities, community events, fitness classes, and support for families at every stage.

And every May, our Annual Mother’s Day Honors gives exhausted, overlooked, and extraordinary mothers a rare moment: to be seen, celebrated, and uplifted. This event, featured on the news, shows the true heart of our mission.

TAP-FLOS has survived on determination, faith, and community energy. We’ve delivered backpacks to hundreds of IEP students. We’ve hosted resource fairs that open doors families never knew existed. We’ve honored mothers who carry unimaginable weight with grace. We’ve held the hands of children who need inclusion—not pity.
