I'm riding for the first time, 300 miles from Edwardsville to Chicago, to honor the life and service of Trooper Corey S. Thompsen, support his family and legacy, and pay tribute to all fallen law enforcement officers.

Trooper Corey S. Thompsen, an Illinois State Police officer, tragically died in the line of duty on October 18, 2024, when his motorcycle was struck in Champaign County, Illinois. This IL COPS bike ride is part of a broader effort to honor him and other officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving their communities. By participating, I'm helping to keep his memory alive and showing solidarity with law enforcement and the families of fallen officers.

We are thankful for Kim Cessna, director for the IL COPS chapter, she is part of an elite team that provides emotional support, comfort, and long-term healing in the aftermath of a tragedy.  It is an honor to help support the IL COPS organization and that's why we ride!

For info about the ride, visit IL COPS - Cycle Across Illinois.
