The Being Project provides hands on training with immediate take away activities and strategies in mindfulness and social emotional awareness for all ages. Our trained teachers are looking to share our knowledge, as we have many times before, with 60 people for a 3 hour training.
Our trauma-informed and data driven results are what keeps us wanting to share more and more with our community! The more people equiped with this knowledge and information, the more we can spread and share peace and calm moments among chaotic times.
A study at Columbia University found that for every dollar invested into social-emotional learning and wellness an average of $11 is returned back into the community. This could be through the lense of mental and physical health, violence reduction, academic achievement, as well as economical impact and general increased success.
The Being Project has worked with over 87 schools, 415 teachers, and 2400+ children since starting. Every group of students we have worked with has seen a decrease of behavioral marks, increase in emotional regulation and self-management, and teachers mention time and time again how often their students and selves utilize strategies taught.
Testimonies from adults who have gone through our trainings reign loud and clear each time- this work is needed and sought after. Below is just one of the many pieces of feedback we have received.
“The Being Project has brought much needed support to our school in the area of SEL. They personally work with students in each classroom to guide them as they learn to understand and navigate their emotions, through the use of mindfulness and many other carefully crafted materials and activities. They have taken the time to learn about Montessori philosophy and ensure that their approach blends in with our teaching pedagogy. As such, this is a personalized and thoughtful approach that is already proving invaluable to our students.”

With your support, we will be able to share these classes and trainings to more and more around Cincinnati, helping to bring those positive initiatives into our city.
