Prevention Saves Lives

With these funds, our organization will be able educate youth and parents about local substance use issues through our Hidden in Plain Sight Experience and other community outreach opportunities. Throughout 2022 we were able to reach over 1,200 people. This experience educates parents about drug and alcohol trends and teaches them how to talk to kids about what they learned. One participant said: “Great to show parents as everything changes. It's a scary world for raising kids. Keep this up! We need more involvement!”- After going through the presentation 95% of participants report increasing their knowledge of marijuana and vaping, and 97% report they will talk to their kids within the week about what they learned
