From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who has supported Liam’s fundraiser in the past. Your generosity, love and support have meant the world to us and have already helped make a difference in the lives of families affected by HDFN.
As I continue this work, my gratitude for Liam's life and my resolve to help other families has only grown stronger. We are especially grateful this year watching Liam become a big brother. Even here in the United States, babies are still lost to a disease that is temporary and treatable. This is preventable, unnecessary and completely devastating. It is heartbreaking to see, and it fuels my determination to ensure that every family has the chance to celebrate holidays with their family, intact.
This fundraiser is not just about honoring Liam, it is about turning his life into action. Every donation to this fundraiser goes directly to saving lives and bringing hope to families.
For Those Unfamiliar with Our Story:
HDFN is a rare pregnancy disease where a mother's body creates antibodies that attack her developing baby's red blood cells. Unfortunately, this happened during my pregnancy with Liam, and he became anemic in utero. He required intrauterine blood transfusions, NICU time and post birth transfusions. He is alive today because he received the right care. Unfortunately this is not the case for every family.
That’s where the Allo Hope Foundation (AHF) comes in. We provide education, specialist referrals, global access initiatives, and research so that no family has to face HDFN without support. There is a chance that Liam would not be alive today without AHF. We are so thankful for every milestone; the first day of school, first visit to Disney World, hiking his first mountain, becoming a big brother. There are countless moments with him that we feel gratitude for, every day.
Thank you for your generosity but also for taking the time to lift us up in learning about HDFN. We hope you have a beautiful holiday season.
