About ABLED
At ABLED, our mission is bold and heart-forward: to empower young adults with disabilities to step into the workforce, claim independence, and live full lives in the community. Through our signature internship training program, we provide hands-on, rotational job assignments, real workplace mentors, and support that helps interns build career pathways, life skills, and confidence. Each day at ABLED brings something new—no two days are the same—for students who are ready to push boundaries and challenge expectations.
GivingTuesday + ABLED
Every year when the global giving movement GivingTuesday arrives, ABLED invites our community of donors, corporate partners, volunteers, families, and alumni to join us in a shared moment of impact.
GivingTuesday is more than a date—it’s a celebration of generosity. On that day, your gift to ABLED becomes a lifeline: supporting job training, work-experience rotations, and meaningful employment opportunities for our interns.
With your support, we’re able to expand the number of internships offered, equip each intern with personalized coaching and professional development, and strengthen our alumni network so that more young adults achieve independence.
When you give on GivingTuesday, you’re not just donating—you’re standing with young adults who are determined to build their lives on their own terms: apartment, cat, scooter, job that lights them up.
Together, we turn generosity into action. We shift the narrative from “can’t” to “can,” from “what if” to “what’s next.”
Why your support matters
Because of donors on GivingTuesday and throughout the year:
We’re able to create more internship slots, so that no qualified candidate is turned away because of limited capacity.
We equip mentors, job coaches, and staff with the resources they need to give each intern the individualized attention they deserve.
We invest in workplace accommodations, transportation support, and assistive technologies so that any intern can participate meaningfully and succeed.
We create pathways to employment, independence, and community inclusion—one rotation, one job coach, one grateful employer at a time.
Join us
This GivingTuesday, will you partner with ABLED to make possibility visible? Your gift is bold, your belief is powerful—and together we’ll light the way for young adults with disabilities to discover their potential, build a future, and change the story of what disability and employment look like.
